The longest distance between two people is misunderstanding. It can be more powerful than anything. Misunderstanding will push two close friends, lovers or family apart; sometimes it will even defeat true love. Because we all come from different families, and have grown up with different backgrounds; we are all individuals and our brains work and read things differently; we all see a unique picture of ourselves, other people and the world around us. So it's easy to create misunderstanding if one doesn't explain, try to convey and describe things in a way accounts for our differences, to help ensure the other fully understands. Sometimes it seems impossible to clear up a misunderstanding, but even the worst situation can be solved by communication. However, it's a two way street. We need to talk openly and listen deeply to each other. With sincere communication, we can hope to avoid and solve misunderstandings; and keep the longest distance between two people to nothing more than a smile.
